    Checking in

I just posted a message about this one here: https://www.salsaforums.com/threads/loud-music-at-clubs-and-damage-to-hearing.42504/ I think one reason not many people have found this one yet is because we have virtually zero links to this forum so search engines still have not found it (or ranked...

    Checking in

Thanks for checking in. I have been travelling and not able to post to this forum so much. But hopefully this forum will stand the test of time and grow. I have two other forums that were started in 2002 and there are millions of posts. :)

    Getting Better

That feels very similar to the way I felt at 11 months. It was also about the time I started making videos. When do we see your first video? :)

Be sure and get a few handfuls of leefy green vegetables everyday too. What I do is get those salad kits that come with everything I need to make a salad and eat one of those everyday. It's really easy. There are probably even healthier ways to do this but that's how I do it.

Of course do your own research or even ask your doctor, but I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with starting a vitamin D supplement right away.

Remission and habituation - Two ways to get into a better place

I still never tried that dance. Maybe I will one day haha

A lot of people are low on vitamin D. And this has been shown to be a cause for anxiety and sleep problems. Assuming you are low, if you start submitting now it can take a few months to build back up to optimal levels. So this is something I always recommend too. Previously I actually took...

Remission and habituation - Two ways to get into a better place

It's already good that you've come to that realization that anxiety and tinnitus tend coincide with each other. At least for the time being I'm just about 100% not caring whatsoever about the sound. Hopefully I'll be able to maintain that over the years ahead.

    Ways to grow this forum

Hello everyone, and when I say everyone, I think we don't have too many people yet haha. But if you happen to see this, I hope you might act on one of the following. Think about some common topics that people would ask about related to tinnitus. Then start a new post about that topic. This will...

I also take some pleasure in those times when I really noticed it yet I really don't care very much and I can easily think about other things. It just doesn't distract me like it used to.

Remission and habituation - Two ways to get into a better place

On the topic of loudness, this is always difficult for me to characterize. I feel like the loudness of my tinnitus is relatively unchanged, but how often I noticed it is so much less than before. But I am a little bit suspect that as I have come to notice it less that perhaps maybe actually the...

Dra. Susan Shore Device Auricle and possible improvements in tinnitus

Yes, I guess when I say, I don’t plan to be in the first group of consumers to buy it. But I do look forward to getting some of the feedback. Of course if I had a bigger budget, maybe I would be in the first group ha ha.

    Positive stories

Today, I was a little under pressure from a company that is helping to promote my videos in China. They were saying there’s too much background noise so I need to find a quiet place. I went to the garage and then I also got inside the car so it was as quiet as possible. but the last thing that I...

Dra. Susan Shore Device Auricle and possible improvements in tinnitus

How many people were in the phase 2 study? I'm assuming the way this device works is it emits some sounds that are similar to the tinnitus at the same time stimulating some other nerves, so it in effect distracts the nervous system in possibly helps the nerves to be changed. I'm always a skeptic...

Zinc could help improving the effects of tinnitus?

I will say this that I prioritize eating healthy above taking vitamins. For vitamin d to get back up to normal levels when there's a deficiency, my doctor told me that I can take a few months. You probably wouldn't see a significant effect over a short period of time but if you do have a...

Zinc could help improving the effects of tinnitus?

The two things that I take are vitamin d and magnesium. Vitamin d is something that many people are lacking in and things like pain, insomnia and anxiety have been linked to a vitamin d deficiency. As I understand it's very safe to take a supplement on a daily basis as well. Magnesium has a...

The conversation you have with yourself about Tinnitus

What you choose to say about your tinnitus can have a huge impact on how you’re able to cope with it and how your body responds to it. In essence, our habitual thinking is who we are. And we have the ability to change what we think. So in this video, I just got some ideas for you so you can...

Welcome, Jeff. Yes, I hope you can start to build confidence that you are able to think about other things, and not think about the tinnitus so much. It is difficult at first, but it gets better!
