So this is the first thread so perhaps we can also call this the Founders thread. I hope that we can get a group of people together here where we can discuss Tinnitus related topics, and in general help people to grow and learn. Feel free to introduce yourself here. You don't need to reveal personal information if you don't wish. You are also welcome to say why you are here and what you hope to do here.

Hi there my name is manny. Been watching your videos now for awhile. Prob few months. And you are right with time and more things you do it does get easier bit by bit.
Awesome! You are the first person to join! I appreciate you taking the time to register and post. And I am happy to hear that things have gotten better for you. :)

Hi David and everybody else, so good to see people improving, David's words are right, it gets better over time, bit by bit, very slowly! Remission? Habituation? I like to call it "to get in a better place". Wish you all the best, see u guys around

Welcome, Rick! I totally agree with that. It’s good to call it getting to a better place. Words like habituation can be controversial and I really feel like since I’ve started making the videos. I’ve seen a lot of people get to a better place. So I just want to keep doing that and hopefully I can get a little help.

Hey !!!!
My name is Vinny, battled tinnitus since September 2021, went through it all, and can finally say I’m on the mend, and David was a significant part of my ongoing recovery, very glad to be a part of this form

Hello guys! Welcome to the new forum. I hope here we can create a good environment to learn and grow together. You are welcome to start new topics or participate in other topics. In general, I hope we can get some activity going. Maybe we will add a new section soon where we can talk about non-tinnitus stuff too.

Hello My name is Anthony. I'm only 4 months into this journey, but with David's positivity I have had more and more good days without being bothered by the T. It's slow progress but I can see myself being better within a year.

Thank you so much for your reply. And this also helps me feel like I’m doing something worthwhile each day to make the videos. I will keep going. And I know you will, too!

Hello everyone! My name is Jeff and I'm going on 3 months now with the dreadful T. It has been an eye-opening experience on how much I am prone to anxiety, and also how much I have to grow in my Christian faith. One week in February I woke up with my jaw popping really bad due to grinding my teeth. That same week I had a Dr scrape some wax out of my ear (which I regret.) Two days later the ringing came on powerfully!! ENT said the ear is fine so not sure what caused it? The dentist referred me to an oral surgeon but it costs $500 just to consult with him. I guess I need to pursue it because my ringing does intensify with jaw movement. I can say the third month has finally become a little better with the ringing. I wear bone conduction headphones with pink noise during the day to try and help habituate my brain. Prayers and best of luck to everyone!

Welcome, Jeff. Yes, I hope you can start to build confidence that you are able to think about other things, and not think about the tinnitus so much. It is difficult at first, but it gets better!

Hi everyone. I'm John, and I have experienced significant tinnitus for just over 18 months now. I did have very, very low tinnitus prior to this for a few years - I could only hear it in the dead of night and even then had to really focus in order to find it. I also occasionally found it when doing a bit of meditation. At such a low level, it didn't bother me in the slightest.
I developed an ear infection in August 2021 which wouldn't go away and in September I woke in the morning hearing very noticeable tinnitus in my right ear. This got a little worse over next couple of weeks and I went through some severe depression. I'm a musician so this impacts my life in every aspect, not that non-musicians can't suffer terribly. I'm happy to say I've habituated to my tinnitus a great deal and often have days where I don't hear it. Life is pretty much back on track and most of the time I'm just fine. Very much appreciated your videos, David, so decided to join your group. Appreciate everything you've done for us, and I hope I can assure anyone who has recently developed tinnitus that things can improve a great deal. Hope everyone is doing ok
